Bentley is a great day out that offers varied activities.
There is a mansion with gardens, a woodland area,
a wildfowl reserve, a motor museum, children's
play area, picnic area, gift shop and cafe.

The Adventure playground has tree platforms and rope
walks, living willow tunnels and a miniature
steam train.
Around the play area there is plenty of space for picnics
in the shade of mature trees.
The tea rooms and toilet facilities are all nearby.
Please ring for current opening times and entry prices.
Located 7 miles north east of Lewes and is signposted
from the A26, A22 & B2192 Parking is free.

There are
a variety

displays
in a new

Brighton Museum & art gallery is excellent,
it was refitted a couple of years ago and
is very colourful and interesting. It has
a good education department that organise
events for children and families which tie
in with their exhibitions. There is a 'hands
on room' with lots of things to interest
children.
Closed Mondays, except public holidays 10am-5pm.
FREE admission.

expensive but there is always the outdoor cafe in
the Pavilion gardens as an alternative. The gift
shop is small but caters for all budgets."

Small, FREE and a nice place to
visit on a rainy or windy day. History
of fishing in the sea around Brighton
and Hove with photos, artifacts, a fishing
boat and some models. Something
for all ages.
Toilets are available nearby on the seafront.

Gallery is FREE.
Hove museum is brilliant and has a room
dedicated to childhood with toys from
years gone by. It has good temporary
craft exhibitions which always have child
centered activities. Closed on Mondays
including Bank Holidays.

has good cake and the walls are lined
with some interesting ceramics. It's
a small museum and so not too overwhelming
for children."
